If your dreams are filled with golden sunshine and bohemian touches, then our recent mamas + babes shoot for Glitter Guide will have you swooning. Inspired by music festivals + the outdoors, with loads + loads of flowy dresses, moccasins, braids by 10.11 Makeup, and the most insane floral crowns by Bloom Hill that you ever did see, this one is worth spending some serious time on.
A whole lotta pretty happening over on Green Wedding Shoes with our Sonoma wedding from last October. With perfect florals by Brown Paper Design, the loveliest Hostess Haven tabletop, a whimsical dessert table and the cutest little flower girl to boot, this wine country wedding has us swooning all over again. A big thanks to Larissa Cleveland for the stunning images.
So many good colors and contrast happening with this one. And, can we talk about how totally rad this industrial warehouse (hello, Huron Substation) looks draped in SO many amazing peachy hues? Not to mention the chain link adorned with lots of feminine, citrus florals… Yep, we really love this one & think Jen Huang’s gorgeous images up on Style Me Pretty are pure magic.
Remember that time we made a hand painted tile rug with pink moss grout + hung a custom copper sweetheart table + birdcage chairs from the ceiling for The Cream Event? Yep, it was something. We couldn’t have done it without our gal Siren Floral Co. Don’t miss the recap, up on both Green Wedding Shoes + 100 Layer Cake.
Boy, are these photos of our glamping wedding something else! So many special details, we seriously can’t stop swooning (um, hello custom gold lanterns, perfect fall leaves, and tons of lace & florals!). And don’t get us started about the crazy good light at El Capitan Canyon. Sigh. Thanks Jen for all the dreamy images :) (see them all on Green Wedding Shoes.)
A moody & magical shoot inspired by Urban Outfitters & a woodland forest. Yep, you heard that right, and the result is pure pretty. Just some of the details we’re especially proud of: lots of textures + plaid + matte black + dark lips + lace + concrete + hanging metal fixtures + girly florals. Check out all the gorgeous photos shot by Megan for Studio Castillero on 100 Layer Cake! Huge shout out to root 75, 10.11 Makeup, Hostess Haven, Shel Couture and Banker’s Hill Restaurant!
We were thrilled to get to work with Glitter Guide again and knew exactly what we wanted to create the moment we started brainstorming! A winter white fantasy world. With unicorns as our inspiration we were off and running. We layered the tables in texture of sequins, ruffles, and faux fur. Candlelight and metallics were added to give the table a reflective quality and then we made 8 custom crowns for each of our models. What a fun day. Here's a glimpse and even more will be on Glitter Guide today.
Black + white, terrariums, and hundreds of mason jars, oh my! This Tim Burtonesque wedding we designed for rad couple Rebecca & James at SmogShoppe in L.A. is up on Style Me Pretty, and we can’t stop staring at all the gorgeous photos by rad and in love. Plus The Little Branch florals and drop dead gorgeous hair & makeup by 10.11 Makeup? Seriously. So. Good.
Have you heard? We've been cooking up something good over here! So excited to announce this little project we've been working on. Here are the deets!
torn between having a lovingly hand-crafted dream wedding, and saving some cash and (and sanity!) by eloping with your sweetheart? now you can have both!
here is how it works: we are offering a pop up wedding venue in place of running away to vegas or city hall with a hand picked cast of the raddest vendors in the wedding world.
we provide: a hand crafted and styled venue, celebratory cocktails and pre ceremony apps, a mini bouquet, photography coverage of your ceremony & a portrait session, a private wedding ceremony with officiant, live music, and downloadable announcements so you can tell everyone what it is you crazy kids have gone and done.
you bring: yourself and your fiance, a marriage license (we only need this if you want it to be legal. renewals and same sex unions welcome!), up to 12 of your favorite witnesses, some killer style, and all the love you got.
the whole shindig lasts about an hour and a half, start to finish. it will set you back 1200 bones. questions? comments? ready to sign up? reach us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
These are just too pretty not to share (even if they are my daughter). I had a last minute vision of a mini wonderland I wanted to create after seeing some tiny trees in Target and luckily, my gal Rachel from Studio Castillero, was happy to shoot it. And.... to say that she shot what I had imagined in my head would be an understatement. This girl delivers and we are so happy to have these images from Miss Valentine's first Christmas.
I hope you've all found yourself someplace magical for these last few days of December. It truly is my favorite time of year and I'm so sad to see it go...
Thanks for another great year and all your continued love and support!
Holiday shoots are some of my fave. I mean, we all know I'm a fan of a lot of sparkle and shine and there is no better time of year to show this off than the holidays. So getting to collaborate with Mrs. Lilien, Joielala, The Hostess Haven, & my husband, Mr. Austin Hendrix, on this fun shoot was a dream come true. Check out the full post on 100 Layer Cake & Mrs. Lilien's blog today.
And of course, the good time video:
Oh yeah! So great to have a mention in December's InStyle Magazine!
